The San Jose Sharks are a ice hockey team base in Northern California. The team was originally founded in 1991 by the Gund family the name "shark" came from the fact that the San Francisco Bay has a large shark population. The Sharks have qualify for the playoffs 10 times out of the 15 seasons they have been a part of the league. The Sharks have met the St. Louis Blues the most during post season play (why Shark fans aren't fond of Chris Pronger). The furthest the team has gone was the Conference Finals in the 2003-2004 season where they lost to the Calgary Flames.Rules
