Zuko

Zuko is a member of the proud Fire Nation Royal family. He is the eldest child of Ozai and Lady Ursa. He is the grandson of Azulan and the great grandson of Sozen. Zuko lived a privilege life as the eldest son of Ozai, Fire Lord Azulan second son. He attended the Fire Nation academy with his younger sister Azula name for her grandfather. As a child Zuko seems to have spent a great deal of time with his mother, probably due to the lack of male playmates. Zuko had the misfortune of being born in a time of war. The Fire Nation had been fighting a hundred year war versus the other three nation. They had manage to defeat the Air Nomads and the Southern Water Tribe by then. Still most of the men had been sent off to the Earth Kingdom this included Iroh the second in line to the Fire Nation throne and his only son Lu Ten who was third in line.

A matter of fact Iroh and Lu Ten were sent to the same exact battle in the Earth Kingdom, The Siege of Ba Sing Se. Obviously the worst case scenario did happen, Lu Ten was killed in battle. Lu Ten death eventually cause the demise of the of the Fire Nation in that battle and they were force to retreat. When news reach home about the death of Lu Ten, it shook Zuko hard. He was obviously close to his elder cousin and look up to him as a role model. For some reason Zuko's father Ozai did not love him or at least never showed it. Ironically the same day the news about Lu Ten death had arrive to the Fire Nation capital Azulan died. It was ironic because Azulan was suppose to be the picture of perfect health. Afterwards it was announce that Azulan had pick Ozai to be next in line to the throne. So in a blink of an eye Zuko had now become the first in line to the throne. On the day of Ozai coronation, Zuko awoke to find that his mother had abandon him. His life was forever change.

Ozai favorite child was obviously Azula, Zuko's little sister. So Zuko would try everything he could to impress his father, to show that he was worthy of being heir to the throne. In one such occasion his uncle Iroh invited him to an important military meeting. One of the strategist came up with an idea of using a new recruit unit as bait to lore out the enemy army. Zuko was outrage with the idea, so he stood up and challenged it. This was a sign of complete disrespect and Zuko was punish by having to battle in the Agni-kai. Zuko agree to the Agni-kai, a traditional Fire nation duel, little did he know his opponent would be his father. The reasoning was rather dumb, but it was because it was his father war room, so he was the one who got disrespected. Anyway's when Zuko found out it was his father, he got down on his knees and beg for forgiveness. This really anger his father who command him to get up and fight. Zuko refuse and continue begging for forgiveness. Ozai was beyond furious and firebend his son in the face. Giving Zuko his scar on the left side of his face. Zuko was then banish and the only way he could regain his honor was to capture the Avatar. A mythical being who can control all four elements, who hasn't been seen in a hundred years. Amazingly to Zuko luck the Avatar has just reappear.
